Szabolcsi Miklós A hetedik láng című drámájának közösségi felolvasószínháza a Bánki tó fesztivál résztvevőivel a ZSK2028 keretében. A darab a Szakadék lelet CR/WEST039-as jelzetű tétele (katalógus 95 oldala).

A darabot Szabolcsi Lajos, az Egyenlőség neológ zsidó lap főszerkesztője írta iskolás drámacsoportok számára és a szerző irredentizmust támogató álláspontját fejezi ki. A cselekmény helyszíne egy kassai (Kosice- Szlovákia) zsidó leányintézet, ahova az irredenta verseiért üldözött fiatal költő, Kálmán védelmet keresve bemenekül a hanuka ünnepének nyolcadik napján. Az iskola igazgatója, Kohn néni bújtatja el és menti meg őt. 

Párbeszédük utolsó soraiban – elárulja neki azt a jelszót, amelyre menekülése során szüksége lesz: „Igen, Trianon (a jelszó) és ezt nem szabad elfelejteni soha! Soha!” – ami utalás az akkori idők egy jól ismert irredenta szlogenjére: „Nem, nem, soha!” (értsd: soha nem belenyugodni a békeszerződés végzésébe).

A collective reading performance of the play The eighth candlelight by Miklós Szabolcsi at the Bánki tó festival in the framework of ZSK2028. The play is the item marked CR/WEST039 of the Chasm records (see page 95 of the book).

“A copy of the play The eighth candlelight by Lajos Szabolcsi, the editor in chief of the Jewish periodical Egyenlőség, written for school drama groups. The play articulates a supportive position towards the irredentist movement of the author. The plot takes place in an Israelite girls school in Kassa (Former Hungarian territory Kosice-Slovakia), where a young man, Kálmán persecuted for his irredentist poems seeks refuge on the eighth day of Hanukkah. He is hidden and saved by Aunt Kohn, the headmistress of the school, who – in the last lines of dialogue – tells him the password that will help him flee: “Yes, it [the password] is Trianon, which you shouldn’t forget ever! Ever!”– which is reference to the well-known irredentist slogan of the time “No, No, never!”, with the meaning: to never become resigned to the peace treaty resolution.”
